The Sea:

The third restaurant in the Alexander’s Steakhouse family (locations in Cupertino and San Francisco) is not a steakhouse, but a seafood specialist. It’s located in the former Trader Vic’s, where chef Yu Min Lin has put together a menu of modern seafood dishes.

Et Al:

Ceri Smith has opened up a wine bar around the corner from her Russian Hill wine shop, Biondivino. The name refers to her desire to give some love to “other” wines like Rieslings or Madeiras. A light menu from the Ferry Building’s Boulettes Larder features wine-friendly fare such as rilettes and fried almonds.

Nido:

Dinner service has commenced at Nido, a Mexican restaurant from the husband-and-wife team of Silvia and Cory McCollow. They’re serving their version of farm-totable Mexican fare several blocks east of Jack London Square

Bravas Bar de Tapas:

Barcelona-style tapas like boquerones, chicken croquettes and sardines in black olive ink come from chef Mark Stark in this new place in the former Ravenous. There’s also a ham-and-cheese bar, and signature gin and tonic cocktails.
