Gloria Ann Suhl, 81, of San Carlos, passed away on February 12, 2015 in Redwood City, California.

Gloria was born and raised in San Francisco and attended High School at “ICA.”

She is the devoted and loving wife of Robert J. Suhl and a dedicated and giving Mother to nine children: Wayne, Keith, Craig (Val), Colette, Suzanne, Brent, Jeanine, Nichole (Chuck), Cheryll (Bill). In addition, she raised her Granddaughter Myya since she was two years old.

She loved and adored all of her grandchildren: Jennifer, Myya, Justin, Lauren (Jacob), Charles and Nicholas.

Gloria was a true servant of God and a devout parishioner at Epiphany and St. Charles Catholic Church.

She was very active at Epiphany Grammar School in San Francisco where she was the President of the Woman’s Guild and helped with the Catholic Youth Organization. In the words of Mother Theresa, she believed that “God has not called me to be Successful but he called me to be Faithful.” She was a true example of this by her constant dedication to her family, grandchildren and husband.

Gloria enjoyed the holidays, family gatherings, gardening and trips to Lake Tahoe, Monterrey, Russian River and Yosemite. She was a huge fan of the SF Giants, 49ers and Warriors and had no problem “voicing her opinion” about how the players and coaches should be behaving on each team!

Gloria believed in giving, not taking and will remain “Forever in our Hearts” by all of her family, friends, relatives and community.

Family and friends are invited to a Vigil Service at 7pm on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Crosby N. Gray, 2 Park Road in Burlingame. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Charles Church 880 Tamarack Ave. in San Carlos.
