A 49-year-old former UC Berkeley employee was arrested in connection with a hidden camera discovered in a campus restroom, police said.

Joseph Rajko Barbir was arrested Thursday on suspicion of invasion of privacy with a covert camera, campus police said. The covert camera was found in a restroom in the Unit I residence hall central building on May 8, UC Berkeley police said in a statement.

“The suspect used signs to redirect unsuspecting victims to that restroom in April and early May,” they said. More than 100 people were recorded in the bathroom, according to police.

At least two of the victims were minors, they said.
