-

December 27, 1933 – July 15, 2015

Olasha (Alice) Caroline was the third of four daughters born to Marie and James in Calder, Saskatchewan, Canada. The family moved to Regina and then to Vancouver in 1946. She is survived by her beloved sons Robert (Brooke), Lance, and Marc (Teresa) and grandson Nick; sister Shirley (John York); cousin Gloria; nephews Cal, David (Belinda), Tom, and nieces Wendy (Ron Collins), Jamie and Debi, among other relatives throughout Canada and the USA. Predeceased by her mother, sisters Virgina and Vicky; nieces Stacey, Donna, and Misty.

Alice’s loves were her family and friends, all styles of music from Boogie Woogie of the late 1940’s to today’s Michael Bublé, NHL hockey, and bologna sandwiches.

Alice was a graduate of Vancouver Technical High School and was noted for her beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor. Forever young at heart, she had a natural gift for singing, playing guitar and piano…and never a lesson.

Alice moved to Glendora, CA where she raised her sons and helped raise 3 stepchildren. She made many friends there, was a hockey Mom for the boys, and a season ticket holder of the LA Kings hockey team. She moved to Daly City, CA and worked 20+ years at the Lake Merced Country Club. She loved the staff and members like family. After retirement, she moved to Poppy Gardens in Vacaville, CA. She made new friends and especially liked her Bunco nights. We thank her friends at Poppy Gardens for all of their help.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1571 Southgate Ave, Daly City, CA.
