_1 Concert injuries: As many as 12 people were injured in Tempe, Ariz., after a crowd rushed a stage during a music festival at a park near the city’s downtown, authoritie­s said. Tempe fire officials said nine people were taken to a hospital after the incident Saturday night. KNXV TV reported that two minors were taken from the Summer Ends Music Festival with life-threatenin­g injuries. Paul Folk, 55, of Gilbert said crowds rushed the stage when the reggae band Rebelution came on.

_2 Random attacks: Police on Sunday identified the suspect arrested in the shooting deaths of two people in an apparently random rampage in Banning (Riverside County). James Paul Diaz, 34, was booked into jail for investigat­ion of two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and other charges stemming from the Saturday shooting spree. Police Chief Alex Diaz said he believes the attacks were random and the victims did not know the suspect. He said there are no other suspects. Police responded Saturday to reports of gunfire in a string of incidents that killed two and injured three. Police in nearby Beaumont arrested Diaz after getting a call about a man knocking on people’s doors.

_3 Eyeglass prescripti­ons: Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called on the Federal Trade Commission on Sunday to update regulation­s on eyeglass prescripti­ons to create more competitio­n in the industry, which he says would lead to better deals for consumers. Schumer said the FTC should require eye care providers to give complete eyeglass prescripti­on informatio­n to consumers, who could then use the informatio­n to shop for the best deals on glasses.

_4 Book auction: A major collection of rare early English literature is slated to be sold at a Dec. 2-5 auction in New York City. Sotheby’s will offer the 16th and 17th century material by leading book collector and New York financier Robert Pirie. The 1,500volume collection is expected to bring more than $15 million. Focused on the Elizabetha­n and post-Shakespear­e periods, it includes works by Ben Jonson, Christophe­r Marlowe and John Donne. Highlights include a rare copy of Geoffrey Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales,” with a presale estimate of $200,000 to $300,000.

_5 Rapper cited: Fetty Wap has received three summonses after the performer was injured in a motorcycle crash in his northern New Jersey hometown. Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said Wap, 25, was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registrati­on card. Wap was treated at a hospital for undisclose­d injuries after police say his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon. Details of his injuries were not disclosed, but they were not considered life-threatenin­g. The woman driving the car also was injured. Wap was born Willie Maxwell. He’s had three Top 10 songs in the past year, including “Trap Queen,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album, “Fetty Wap,” was released Friday.
