Eula Revel

October 19, 1920-October 13, 2015

-

Eula Revel passed away at home on October 13, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late Gaston Revel, beloved mother of René Revel (Maureen), Michele (Dave Bisho), Suzanne (Scott Peoples) and Maurice Revel. She was dearly loved and cherished by her six grandchildren: Lauren, Dominique, Henri, Danielle, Nicole, Theresa (their spouses) and also her five great-grandchildren. Eula truly loved and was loved by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eula was born and raised in New Orleans, a fact she proudly and frequently shared with others. She was the youngest sibling of Grace, Harry and Jessie Haley. Even though Eula left New Orleans to settle in San Francisco as a young woman, she never forgot her southern roots and kept her New Orleans spirit alive by sharing it with all those she met.

Eula was a sparkle in our lives, always ready to tell a joke or story, or sing and dance at the drop of a hat. She enjoyed and appreciated even the smallest things in life. She was a treasure and a gift to us all.

We would like to thank Sutter Hospice San Francisco for all their help in making Eula’s final days peaceful. We also would like to thank and acknowledge the amazing care and attention given to Eula by her wonderful caregiver, Ellen Macatangay. We now know what an angel on earth means.

A Memorial Mass for Eula will be celebrated at St. Monica’s Church at 11:00 on Monday, October 19th. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eula’s memory may be made to St. Monica’s Grammar School, 5950 Geary Blvd., SF, Ca. 94121 or to Sutter Hospice San Francisco, 2800 Leavenworth St., SF, Ca. 94133.
