Potrero Hill Victorian offers elevator access from garage to top-floor master bedroom.

Of course a hillside home in San Francisco offers dramatic views. It’s the inclusions and potential that make 361 Texas St. on Potrero Hill a coveted listing.

“The views from multiple decks and the home’s elevator make it a unique Victorian,” said Laura Kaufman of Zephyr Real Estate, who is listing the roughly 2,000-square-foot home for $1.795 million. “The home’s been renovated through the years.”

Future residents are walking into a turnkey home with plenty of flexibility. The home offers two bedrooms and an unwarranted third, as well as bathrooms on both levels. Double parlors hark back to the home’s original construction and its wide entryways facilitate flow. Sliding doors off the eat-in kitchen open to a walk-out deck overlooking brickwork in the backyard.

Potrero Hill’s location is famous for maximizing every ray of sunlight, and the Texas Street home uses large windows and skylights to its advantage. Fog tends to dissipate faster here than in most of the city, allowing east-facing decks off the main and upper levels to capture scenic sunrises and soothing morning sun.

The home opens to the main level and its inviting foyer leading to dual parlors with skyline views. A dining room with elevator access is nearby and leads to the sunny

eat-in kitchen. The unwarranted bedroom could double as a den, and a full bathroom completes the main level.

Outside, an east-facing deck looks out at the bay and descends to the level backyard’s gardening sheds and apple tree.

The elevator, which begins in the garage and ascends to the dining room, services the master bedroom for its final stop. Besides superlative bay views through its oversize picture window, the master bedroom hosts a walk-in closet and view deck.
