Brace for interesting times. Come Tuesday flirtatious, quixotic Venus kisses off serious Capricorn and moves into edgy Aquarius. Water bearers are casual to say the least. Expect relationships to lighten up.

Aries (March 19-April 18)

Though alliances have come up for review, you’re not about to vote anyone off the island. Consider how friends have gone to bat for you. Time now to establish priorities.

Taurus (April 19-May 19)

Your very own Venus bonds with mischievous Mercury this week. You’re the original when it comes to building on a firm foundation. This week you can creatively negotiate a long-term dream into reality.

Gemini (May 20-June 19)

Saturn continues to sit like an elephant in your one-on-one sector, but Venus, Mercury and the sun are reasonably happy campers in your ninth house. This says positive things about travel and education.

Cancer ( June 20-July 21)

After a season of gloom, Venus, Mercury and the sun do the visionary thing in your finance sector. Is this light at the end of the tunnel or what? We’re talking bonds, bonuses, benefits, big bucks. Follow your bliss.

Leo ( July 22-Aug. 21)

Venus, nestled now in your one-onone house, does a sweet do-sido with Mercury. (Beauty and brains!) Share a dream with a loved one and it can come true. Light a candle to St. Valentine. No, while you’re at it, light two.

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 21)

The interaction of lucky Jupiter in your sign and heavy-duty Saturn sitting in your home/ family center is challenging. You’ll have to work for what you want, but at least it’s there for you.

Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 21)

It’s a given that you’re soon to become Jupiter’s darling for a yearlong stint. As if that weren’t bounty enough, the sun’s adding sizzle to a Venus-Neptune merger. A romantic problem unkinks itself.

Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 20)

Your home cries out: “Make me pretty!” Really, it’s so pathetic. But Venus and Mercury stand ready to give your digs knock-yoursocks-off treatment. What better venue for a romantic Valentine dinner for two?

Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20)

Venus and Mercury give special attention to communications. They might be loveydovey or could be business. To test the waters, do something “darling.” (Like sending your accountant or attorney a Valentine.)

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)

As the year skips along, you continue to kick butt. Blame it on Mars in your friendship sector. (And see how far that goes.) You’ll feel even feistier as a sun-centered triumvirate lights a fire in your money house.

Aquarius ( Jan. 20-Feb. 17) Take a deep breath as you blow out those birthday candles, Aquari. The goddess is in her heaven and all’s right with your world. Intuition runs high now — particularly in the romance department.

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 18) The combination of Venus, Mercury and the sun in your house of secrets sounds a wake-up call. Watch for the dramatic appearance of a lover you thought was history. Is love better the second time around?

Q: Most of the love-match tools on the Internet suggest that Leo-Leo relationships are more or less doomed. I’m a Leo (birthday Aug. 7), and my partner is a Leo (birthday July 22). He says some consider it Cancer and others Leo cusp. Is this an ill-fated union?

A: At this point, each of you feels that you’ve found the warm, magnanimous and charismatic partner that you’ve always longed for. But how will you each react to the other’s arrogant, domineering streak? This one is surely a challenge, but there are other factors. Your rising signs (ascendants) are important too. Ascendants are the faces we show the world. Moons also matter — they signify hidden feelings and motivations. If you’re serious about an ongoing relationship, you should have your charts done by an expert.
