Joanne Marie Dolan

Born June 1, 1928 in San Francisco, died peacefully in her home in Sonoma on February 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Survived by her children Daniel Dolan (Sharon), Deirdre Dolan, Stephen Dolan (Andrea), and Sheila Caselli (Michael); her grandsons Craig and Cyle Caselli; her sister-in-law Alice Schmitt, nieces Karen Rodgers, Jeanne Schmitt, Denise Schmitt, and Elizabeth Gowen; nephews Gregory Schmitt and John Schmitt; and many other relatives and friends. She was the dear sister of the late George P. and John V. Schmitt, and the former wife of the late Daniel G. Dolan.

Joanne was born and raised in San Francisco, where she attended Presentati­on High School and Lone Mountain College. She loved the sunshine and spent many years living in Marin, and for the last 22 years in Sonoma. Joanne was an accomplish­ed Executive Secretary and worked for several years for Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael. Joanne will be remembered always as a class act with a great sense of humor, a woman who always looked her best and made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, February 18th at 1 p.m. at The Hanna Boys Center, 17000 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, with reception to follow. Private Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the The Hanna Boys Center, PO Box 100 Sonoma CA 95476, or to the charity of your choice.
