Demetrios G. Marinos, 78, of Hillsborou­gh, California, passed away on February 10, 2016. Born on May 5, 1937 in Stagira, Greece. Came to San Francisco by way of Ellis Island in 1954. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy Marinos. Loving father of Tina (Robert) Picone, George (Jackie) Marinos, Sophia (Robert) Janke, Jim (Coralia Molina) Marinos. Loving Papou of Angela, Isabella, Demetrios, Nikolas, Catherine, Ava, Jackson, and Konstantin­e.

Graduated from George Washington High School in 1956. Machinist at California Pellet Mill. Sergeant in the National Guard as a reserve in the United States Army from 1956 to 1963. Demetrios lived the American dream as an entreprene­ur in the coin operated laundry business and commercial and residentia­l real estate. A generous spirit to all and many charitable causes. He loved to travel the world with his family and spend summers at his house in Astros, Greece. He was loved by everyone and will be missed beyond words.

The Trisagion will begin at 7 PM on Monday, February 15th at Holy Trinity Church 999 Brotherhoo­d Way, San Francisco. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16th at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Church. Burial to follow at the Greek Orthodox Memorial Park, 1148 El Camino Real, Colma.
