64, passed February 9, 2016. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, along with 49 first cousins. He attended Central Catholic High School and received a degree from Livingston College of Rutgers University.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Short McKenna; brothers Bernard (Annie) McKenna III, Brian McKenna (Mary Ann Mavrodis) sister Elizabeth (Paul De Pasquale) McKenna, and Winston (Cindy) McKenna; 14 nieces and nephews; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 2 goddaughters.

He enjoyed his work as a Property Supervisor at BRIDGE Housing. Brendan was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. He spent every summer of his childhood on Catawba Island and loved sailing. Met his wife Carolyn on a sailing weekend in the Chesapeake Bay. A friend to everyone, he still had every friend he ever made and invited all of them to his annual Ground-Hog’s Day Ball. He had a wide range of interests, talents, and knowledge, and could answer any question before Google existed. He enjoyed golf, gardening, the Giants, was a 40-year season ticket holder for the 49ers and always a Steelers fan. He came to visit San Francisco for a week in 1974 and stayed the rest of his life in the Haight.

Friends may visit Wednesday February 17, 2016 from 3pm and are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 5pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City.
