Donna Jean Webb

90, passed away peacefully at her home 2/8/2016 on a beautiful day in La Jolla, CA. Donna was born in Oakland, CA, attending Oakland HS and UC Berkeley (Zeta Tau Alpha; Phi Beta Kappa). She was preceded to heaven by her parents Harry and Esther Meyer, brother Richard Meyer, and her husband Gilbert A. Webb, MD. In San Francisco, Donna and Gil raised five children-Paul (Annemieke), Pam, Janet, Bruce and Bill (Lynn). Donna shared her love of visual and performing arts, archaeolog­y, anthropolo­gy, nature, music, sports (49ers and Giants) and sweets with her children and eight grandchild­ren- Preston, Megan, Rachel, Jason, Justin, Roxanne, Michael, and Katarina. Donna was blessed as well with five great grandchild­ren-Andrew, Laker, Graham, Elaina Jean and Ava. Donna was a dedicated volunteer at San Francisco museums (De Young and Palace of Fine Arts) and a supporter of many national and community organizati­ons, especially the SF ballet. She traveled the world extensivel­y and enjoyed her vacation home at Lake Tahoe. Donna was a lifelong cat and dog lover, a member of the Golden Gate Collectors Club, and an avid reader. Donna was blessed with many friends with whom she shared wonderful dinners and cultural events. Her family wishes to thank the loving staff of Casa Pacifica and her many treatment providers over the years in San Francisco and the San Diego area for their wonder care and friendship over the years. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish that friends and family continue charitable giving to the SF Ballet, De Young Museum, Palace of Fine Arts, American Cancer Society (breast cancer), American Heart Associatio­n, League to Save Lake Tahoe, and SPCA. Viewing is 4-8pm Thursday 2/18/16; Services will be Friday 2/19 at 11am followed immediatel­y by interment, all at Chapel of the Chimes 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA 94611 (510-654-0123).
