In 126 years, 1st Democrat receives paper’s presidential endorsement

For the first time in its 126-year history, the Arizona Republic has endorsed a Democrat for president. In an editorial, the newspaper’s editorial board said Hillary Clinton’s flaws fade compared with Donald Trump’s and her approach to governing is mature and rational. “That cannot be said of her opponent,” the editorial said.
