Andrew Luck

The Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback is one NFL player who needs no introduction to London as the Colts play the Jaguars on Sunday. The Stanford alum used to live there. Father Oliver Luck moved his family to Frankfurt, Germany, when Andrew was a toddler, then relocated the family to London a few years later. “I try to go to London every year because it’s sort of easy to get to, and I really enjoy going to a soccer game or whatever and I get to be sort of anonymous and just a normal bloke,” Luck said. “This week, we’re going there to play a game and that’s our focus . ... It’s not like we’re going to Big Ben or Buckingham Palace.” The Colts (1-2) are hoping to fly back a .500 team.

Hope Solo

The suspended U.S. nationalteam goalkeeper says she has had shoulder-replacement surgery. Solo posted post-surgery photos of herself on her socialmedia accounts. “I’ve got a brand new shoulder (read: bionic) and for the first time in years, I can raise my right arm above my head. I’m filled with excitement knowing how life-changing this is and I look forward to coming back healthier and stronger than ever,” she wrote. Solo was suspended for six months and her contract with U.S. Soccer was terminated last month following the Rio Olympics, where she called the Sweden team a “bunch of cowards” after the Swedes eliminated the U.S. in the quarterfinals.
