Festival of laughs passing through

- — Mariecar Mendoza

The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival travels to the Bay Area, bringing nine comedians to the Shoreline Amphitheatre for what Funny or Die boasts is “the comedy show of the century.”

Dane Cook, Sebastian Maniscalco and Nick Swardson headline the event, hosted by Roastmaster General Jeff Ross. Iliza Shlesinger, winner of season six of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and host of the TBS game show “Separation Anxiety,” is the only female comic on the bill.

Curated by Funny or Die, the comedy video website and production company founded by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, the touring comedy festival has brought these comics — with a few lineup additions like San Francisco native Ali Wong (“Ali Wong: Baby Cobra,” “Fresh Off the Boat”), who unfortunately can’t make it on this stop — to three Texas cities and plans to continue through the weekend with stops in Southern California and Arizona.
