DJ Shadow moving forward with ‘Mountain Will Fall’
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of DJ Shadow’s groundbreaking album “Entroducing.” But the Bay Area native, who has been making music since he was an undergrad at UC Davis in the early ’90s, is more interested in looking forward.
His latest release, “The Mountain Will Fall,” is another genre-bending album, featuring collaborations with underground artists Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall and Bleep Bloop, as well as the rap duo Run the Jewels, who appear on the first single, “Nobody Speak.” DJ Shadow appears Friday, Sept. 30, at 1015 Folsom.
