Jim Gaffigan takes aim at TV, among other subjects, in his new Netflix comedy special, “Jim Gaffigan: Cinco,” available for streaming today, as are the previous quatro specials. Gaffigan starred in his own TV Land show, “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” for two seasons. Also available on Netflix: “We’re Lalaloopsy.” Well, really, when it comes right down to it, who isn’t? President Obama is set to deliver his farewell address at 6 p.m. Pacific time from Chicago. The television catch of the day is the premiere of “Taboo” at 10 p.m. on FX. It’s the story of a man, long thought dead, who returns to London in 1814 to claim his inheritance after the death of his father and squares off against the ultra-powerful East India Company. The series stars Tom Hardy, who cocreated it with his dad, Chips Hardy, and Steven Knight. Dark, mysterious and engaging. The fourth season of “Being Mary Jane” premieres on BET at9 p.m., and the first season of “Good Behavior” ends on TNT at the same time. “This Is Us” returns with new episodes on NBC at 10 p.m., the same time “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” returns with new episodes on ABC. Viceland’s music documentary show “Noisey” returns for its second season at 9 p.m. with the episode “Bay Area With G-Easy and E-40.” The show filmed in the Bay Area after the police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. G-Eazy played a blowout concert and was accused of gentrifying hip-hop.
