Phillip G. Edwards

After a brief illness, Phil passed away peacefully February 17th with his wife, Joyce, at his side. Born May 6th, 1943, Phil was a native California­n living the majority of his adult life in San Francisco. He attended St. Joseph’s High School in Alameda, after graduating Phil enlisted in the United States Air force, He served from 1964 - 1968 and was mostly stationed in Germany. Upon his return, Phil continued his education at Cal State East Bay where he earned a Master’s degree in business/finance. He eventually started his own management consulting business in 1983, Edwards Management Group, where he continued to serve clients until the time of his death. Phil was an avid hiker, fly fisherman, dog lover, faithful San Francisco Giants fan, and enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and friends. In addition to his wife, Joyce, Phil is survived by Mike (Stacey) Owen, Eric (Lindsay) Owen, Casanna Owen, Jesse Grimes and their children Ben, Emmett, Hadley, Dyson and Janessa, as well as many friends, colleagues and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Doris Edwards, and Lamar Owen. A private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:
