Update: Northern California’s best sprinters compete in 6-furlong events this week, with the males in Friday’s fourth race — a non-conditione­d allowance — and the females in the Camilla Urso Stakes . ... Quick and Silver, Star Student and Chips All In — the 1-2-3 finishers from the Lost in the Fog Stakes on Feb. 20 — meet again Friday. Completing the field are Indian Brut, sixth in the Lost in the Fog Stakes after running a strong second behind Star Student in last fall’s Oakland Stakes, and comebackin­g Algenon. The front-running Quick and Silver, a 6-year-old gelding, has won five of his past six starts and is 10-for-19 at Golden Gate Fields. … Fast and Foxy, the female version of Quick and Silver, tops a field of eight entered Wednesday for the Camilla Urso Stakes. The 7-year-old mare has used her speed to win 14 of 34 starts at Golden Gate Fields, including her past four against females. She finished third in an allowance race won by Quick and Silver on Jan. 8. Code Warrior, who finished second in the Jan. 8 race and second behind Fast and Foxy on Jan. 29, meets her again in the Camilla Urso Stakes. Also running is the well-traveled Coniah, who hasn’t raced since fading to next to last in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes on Dec. 26 at Santa Anita. Previously, she ran at Zia Park, Keeneland, Belmont Park, Saratoga, Del Mar, Sacramento, Golden Gate Fields and Fresno. Coniah, who has won three of 15 starts, has recorded a series of good workouts at Golden Gate Fields since returning to trainer William E. Morey’s stable. Completing the Camilla Urso field are Previous Time, BC Z Middleton, Turkish Tabby, Castellini and Calm the Sea. … Both Quick and Silver and Fast and Foxy were eligible to be claimed 12 times in 2015-16 but weren’t taken. … Gotham Desire, who won her 5½furlong debut by 15 lengths in a $25,000 maiden-claimer Feb. 24, stretches out to 1 mile in Saturday’s sixth race. Gotham Desire received a Beyer Speed Figure of 82 for finishing in 1:03.28 — just 0.72 from the track record. None of her six opponents in Saturday’s starter allowance has a Beyer higher than 60.

Elsewhere: Robert B. Lewis Stakes winner Royal Mo, Sham Stakes runner-up American Anthem and maiden Sonneteer invade from Santa Anita for the Rebel Stakes. Also running in the 11⁄16-mile Kentucky Derby prep are Malagacy, romping winner of two sprints; Untapped, runner-up in two graded stakes at Fair Grounds; and Petrov, second in the Smarty Jones and Southwest stakes at Oaklawn. … My Kentucky Derby top 10: One Liner, McCraken, Gunnevera, Tapwrit, Girvin, J Boy Echo, Iliad, American Anthem, Epicharis, Royal Mo.
