Quakes take loss

Goalkeeper David Bingham allowed Sporting Kansas City’s first goal of the season Saturday night and let in an own goal as the visiting Quakes took their first loss of the season, 2-1.

Florian Jungwirth scored in the 92nd minute for San Jose (2-1-0).

Bingham will join the U.S. national team, which is training in San Jose this week ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Honduras at Avaya Stadium. More MLS:
