Ivan Chiolo passed away in Redwood City, CA on March 12, 2017 at the age of 99 surrounded by family.

Ivan was born September 16, 1917 in San Francisco, CA to parents Rosario and Chesaria Chiolo. As a native San Franciscan, Ivan made many friends throughout the years. Just after graduating from Balboa High School, Ivan left to serve in WWII giving him a taste of the world, which turned into a love for travel, and of course his favorite place to visit was Italy. For many years he had a limousine service and owned a nightclub giving him a very colorful life, and OH the stories he would tell. An avid golfer with a love for all sports and a long time member of the Italian American Social Club where he enjoyed all his moments playing cards and bartending with friends.

He is survived by his niece, Donna Chiolo, and her two children Cynthia Smith and Anthony Ciciulla, his niece, Marilyn Uro, and her three children Bob Moody, Janine Moody, and Adam Uro, his nephew and niece Charles and Ramona Misuracca, and his greatnephe­w Dan Mafei. He was greatly loved by all and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 beginning at 4:00 PM, followed by a vigil service at 7:00 PM at Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St, S.F. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:0 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 62, Santa Rosa Ave, S.F. with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
