Silvia Davidson, nee Silvia Huber Harnecker, died March 12 , 2017, in Naples, Florida. She was born in Santiago, Chile on April 3, 1926, to Fernando Huber Kolar and Enriqueta Harnecker von Kretschman­n. In 1944 she received a Baccalaure­ate Degree in Letters from the University of Chile. She then worked designing furniture for Ferreteria Montero in Santiago, Chile.

In 1950 in Santiago, Chile, she married Frank Marshall Davidson of Oakland, California, to whom she was married until 2010. They left Chile in 1957 and lived in Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Morocco before settling for many years in Belvedere, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Silvia was a gifted cook, decorator and artist. She enjoyed painting murals, especially those with perspectiv­e. She created several stage sets for plays, including “Light Up the Sky” and “The Four Poster”, put on by the Guatemala City Theater Guild. She created a unique ambiance in her homes, where she loved to have parties, lunches and dinners on a regular basis. She was a member of the Flower Committee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, where she arranged flowers for over 20 years and participat­ed in the annual “Bouquets to Art” fundraiser. She became involved with American Bach Soloists, hosting gatherings in her home for ABS as well as lodging visiting musicians.

She is survived by three daughters, Paula Allen, of Naples Florida, Monica Davidson, of New Orleans, LA, and Carla Davidson, as well as five grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren.
