After a long & courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Carole passed away peacefully on March 13, while surrounded by family. She was born in San Francisco to Emil & Elsie Bettega and was raised in El Cerrito along with her siblings Beverly & Michael. She graduated from San Jose State and began her career as a med-tech. After marrying Clark Ransome and moving to Orinda, she quickly became involved in the real estate field and continued in real estate until her retirement.

Carole was an extraordinary and amazing woman who enriched the lives of all who knew her. She had a true zest for life and a gift of being amazing support to those she loved. She treasured spending time with her family - walks around the reservoir, Sunday night dinners and holiday gatherings. She loved to travel. She had a passion for planning trips with family and friends and traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe. She enjoyed being a member of the Orinda Hiking Club for many years, hiking throughout the Bay Area, US and Europe. She found joy in painting and continued to paint even as the alzheimer’s took over.

A beloved wife, mother and Nonna, Carole is survived by her husband Rich Larsen, daughters Carrie (Jason) & Stacie (Brad), stepchildren Kristine (Mark), Craig (Kirsten) & Michelle (Brad) grandchildren Mikayla, Nathan, Spencer, Kate, Will, Jocelyn, Sloane, James & Paige, brother Michael (Linda) & numerous nieces and nephews. She is much loved and will be forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Carole’s life will be held at 11am on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Moraga Country Club, 1600 St. Andrews Dr, Moraga, CA 94556.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Express condolences at http:// carole-lynne-ransome-larsen. lastingmemories.com.
