Passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 22nd 2017 at the age of 68.

Beloved wife of Willie Walsh; loving mother of William (Anita), Sarah, Julie(Bill) and caring grandma to Karine.

Born on January 13, 1949 in Tipperary Town, County Tipperary. Daughter to the late Sadie (nee Leahy) and Patrick Pickham of Tipperary Town, Ireland.

Norah met William “Willie” Walsh at a dance in town at the age of 15. Best known in Tipperary for her Irish dancing, and her ‘Pride of Tipperary’ beauty pageant honor. Her and Willie immigrated to New York in the year of 1969. In 1970, they returned home to Tipperary Town to wed at St. Michael’s Church. In 1973 they packed up whatever would fit in their Oldsmobile Cutlass and drove cross country to San Francisco, eventually settling down in South San Francisco in 1974.

Those who knew Norah would say she was a kind woman, strong believer in faith and an immense lover of animals and flowers, as well as Roger Federer’s number one fan. Some of her favorite memories were spent spending summers on Cobb Mountain in Pine Grove Resort, lounging by the pool and playing bingo with lifelong friends. Norah was a magnificen­t friend to many and her garden was her pride and joy. Known as a wife, a mom, a grandmothe­r, aunt, a godmother, a sister, and best friend; she will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Survived by her husband Willie, three children: William Walsh, Sarah Walsh and Julie Walsh Gano and her one and only grandchild: Karine Walsh. She is also survived by her three siblings, Patrick Pickham, James Pickham and Maureen Ryan.

Visitation for family and friends will begin at 6 p.m. and the Vigil will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29 at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Dr., Burlingame (Hillside and Cabrillo). The Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Road, Colma.
