Jackie Greene to play entire albums live

- — Aidin Vaziri

Jackie Greene may have moved to Brooklyn, but his heart remains in the bay.

The roots singer-songwriter, who has performed with everybody from Phil Lesh to the Black Crowes, is in the middle of his third annual residency at the Sweetwater Music Hall — his longest residency to date — and he’s performing a different record from his back catalog in full with his live band every night.

On Thursday, March 30, he’ll revisit 2008’s “Giving Up the Ghost”; Friday, March 31, is dedicated to 2010’s “Till the Light Comes”; and Saturday, April 1, will see Greene digging into his most recent studio recording, 2015’s “Back to Birth.” Fans will also get a sampling of new material from his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album for San Francisco label Blue Rose Music.
