American Dream: What happens when a film crew blindfolds a man, gives him $25 and drops him off in some random city? This documentar­y follows Adam Shepard, an Orange County resident, who tries to figure out how to survive for 30 days in Nashville. Cezanne et Moi: French art and history buffs should appreciate this film about the friendship between Impression­ist painter Paul Cezanne and writer Emile Zola (“J’accuse,” “Nana”). Colossal: Anne Hathaway plays a party girl who goes to the aid of her childhood friend ( Jason Sudeikis). The two go on a drinking binge, and the friend wakes up to learn there’s a big monster in Seoul. It is being billed as a sci-fi comedy. The Fate of the Furious: The latest in the franchise begins with Vin Diesel’s Dom and Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty on their honeymoon. A mysterious woman resurfaces in Dom’s life and sends the team on a big adventure. Spark: A Space Tail: In this animated tale, a teenage monkey ( Jace Norman) and his friends get together and travel through the universe to win back the planet, Bana, that was taken by General Zhong. Tommy’s Honour: A docudrama about Scottish father and son Tom and Tommy Morris, who are credited with founding modern golf. Tomorrow: “Demain” in French, this documentar­y, co-directed by Cyril Dion and actress Melanie Laurent, looks at solutions to climate change. Truman: In this Spanish-Argentine comedy, a Canadian man, along with his titular dog, reunites with his childhood friend as they embark on an adventure.
