This season’s series

- — Mike Lerseth

The Warriors trail the all-time regular-season series with Portland 121-101, but have dominated of late: a series sweep this season, six straight wins overall and victories in 15 of the past 18 meetings.

Warriors 127, Trail Blazers 104: On Nov. 1 at Portland, the third quarter decided the issue as Golden State outscored Portland 41-20 and coasted home. The Warriors shot 62.5 percent (15-for-24) in the third and made 5 of 8 three-point shots. Stephen Curry led the barrage with 23 of his 28 points in the quarter. Damian Lillard scored a game-high 31, but only nine in the second half.

Warriors 135, Trail Blazers 90: On Dec. 17 in Oakland, Golden State posted the biggest margin of victory by either team in their 222-game series history. Kevin Durant had a terrific all-around game with 34 points (on 11-for-13 shooting), 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. Curry scored a pedestrian — for him, anyway — 19, but made 5 of 8 threepoint tries as Golden State went 14-of-28 from distance. Portland shot 39.5 percent, Golden State 58.6.

Warriors 125, Trail Blazers 117: On Jan. 4 in Oakland, Portland played without Lillard (out with an ankle sprain), but stayed with the Warriors as all five Trail Blazers starters scored in double figures (led by C.J. McCollum’s 35). Curry (35 points) led the way for the Warriors. Durant scored 30 and had five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals as the Warriors improved to 31-5.

Warriors 113, Trail Blazers 111: On Jan. 29 in Portland, the Warriors played without Curry (flu) and needed Klay Thompson’s five free throws in the final 26 seconds to withstand Portland’s 37-point fourth quarter. Durant scored 33, Thompson 27 and Zaza Pachulia made 8 of 10 free throws to finish with 14. McCollum scored 28 to lead Portland.
