Elsie Gaspari

-

Elsie Gaspari was reunited with her husband Eddie on April 12, 2017. She was born in San Francisco to Italian immigrant parents, Virgilio and Clementina. After graduating from Galileo High School, Elsie worked for the US Navy during World War II. She married Eddie Gaspari on August 2, 1947. Elsie began a new career at Otis Elevator Co. in 1966, where she worked until her retirement in 1987. In addition to her official duties, she was the perennial office party planner. She was an active participant in the St. Vincent de Paul parish, and with the de Paul Seniors.

Elsie is survived by her son Paul (Debbie), grandsons Andrew (Regina) and Matt (fiancée Carolyn), and countless friends and relatives.

Visitation will begin at 10:00, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 on Thursday, 4/20/2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Green and Steiner Sts., San Francisco.

We would like to thank our mother’s caregivers, Carmenza Morales and Jennifer Imperial for the tender care they provided. You gave her the opportunity to live her last years with dignity and leave this world peacefully.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Elsie’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Church or St. Ignatius College Preparatory.

Elsie never wanted to miss a party or event, and there was always room for dessert.
