Brigid Corcoran

-

Brigid Teresa Fahy Corcoran left this life April 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born February 24, 1932 in Abbeyknockmoy, County Galway, Ireland, Brigid was one of eight children to Sarah and Michael Fahy. Brigid and her sister Mae immigrated to San Francisco at a young age, in 1948.

Brigid was proud of her strong Irish heritage and met her loving husband Michael at the KRB dances. They quickly fell in love, married and had two daughters Debbie and Patricia. Brigid loved to entertain and spend quality time in Pleasanton where her daughters live.

Brigid loved her Sunset District home, her Irish community, the fog that reminded her of home in Galway, the croissants from Java Beach Café, doting over the family dog Riley, picking out flowers from Sloat Gardens, and of course her three favorite sports teams the Warriors, 49ers, and SF Giants. More than all of this, she cherished and loved her three granddaughters beyond life itself.

Beloved wife of the late Michael; loving mother of Debbie and Patricia; proud mother-in-law of Michael Faria and Stephen Jordan; and devoted grandma to Amanda, Alexis, and Hunter. Brigid is survived by her siblings Mae (the late Patrick), Willie (Barbara), John (Mary), Eddie (Anne), Christina (Tommy), Margaret (Michael), and Paddy Joe (Julia). Beloved auntie of nieces and nephews in Ireland, England and San Francisco.

Brigid will be remembered for her grace, charm, and for always being the epitome of timeless elegance.
