Beverly Aileen (Walsh) Arnautou passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017, at the age of 83 in Rocklin, CA. Beloved wife of Philip P. Arnautou; loving mother of Philip (Whitney), Julie, Jack and Marianne. Caring grandmother of John, Georgia and Frances Arnautou. She is also survived by her brother Most Reverend Daniel Walsh and sisters Diane Walsh, Gail (Paul) Fraser, Lou (Maurice) Healy and as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Dr. and Mrs. Frank D Walsh (Aileen Clancy).

Born June 8, 1933 in San Francisco, Beverly graduated from Presentation High School of San Francisco in 1951. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from University of San Francisco and St. Mary’s College of Nursing in 1956. She also received a degree in Public Health from USF. She worked as a public health nurse in San Francisco.

Phil and Bev raised their children in Menlo Park, CA, where they attended St. Denis Parish in Menlo Park for many years. Bev was active in academic and athletic activities with the four children, rarely missing a game, meet or match.

In retirement, Phil and Bev moved to Lincoln Hills, CA, where they were parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lincoln. They enjoyed many years of traveling with friends and family including trips to Hawaii, Europe, North and South America. Bev was a devoted SF Giants fan at home and away games and made annual spring training trips to Arizona. Bev enjoyed golf, gardening, quilting and cooking but most of all spending time with family. Bev was a kind and gentle woman who was always present for her family. We will cherish many wonderful memories of festive holiday gatherings, graduations and travels.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20 at 1:30 pm, St. Anne of the Sunset Church, 850 Judah Street, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of the Presentation Retirement Fund, 281 Masonic Avenue (3rd floor), San Francisco.
