Terry Page
February 21, 1950 - March 25, 2017
Died peacefully surrounded by family on March 25, 2017 after a brief but intense bout with cancer. He is survived by wife Kathy, stepdaughters Fiona (Dave) and Melissa (Matt), brother Sandy (Jody), sister Leslie (Chris), nephew Richard and nieces Kelly, Lanie and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by parents Richard and Septa and sister Alison.
Terry was born and raised in Maryland. As a young man, he had an adventuresome spirit and traveled the country until he found his favorite city to call home – San Francisco. Once here, he drove a cab while earning his degree in business and finance from San Francisco State University.
After a chance meeting and request for a Ford media test vehicle delivery, Terry founded Page One Automotive – an automotive fleet and events company. A pioneer in the automotive PR industry, he always worked to bring people and teams together, building many great long-term relationships over 34 years. Terry’s collaborative approach resulted in a thriving business with five West Coast offices and more than 100 employees.
Around the time he started his business, he met his wife Kathy through a mutual friend. They married in 1988 and moved to Marin in 1991.
Terry is best remembered for his wit, intelligence and kindness. He had an avid interest in technology, psychology and the brain, film, softball and golf, and loved to hike and enjoy nature with family, friends and his dogs. His optimism, strength and caring spirit were an inspiration and he will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on April 23, 2017 at 1 pm at the Marin Art & Garden Center in Ross. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome made payable to the Lung Cancer Alliance with Terry Page in the memo line or online at lungcanceralliance.org.
