War Machine (May 26): “Animal Kingdom” director David Michod joins forces with Brad Pitt, who plays a general in this dark comedy. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (June 2): Dav Pilkey’s popular books about a principal-turned-superhero become an animated comedy.

The Mummy (June 9): Tom Cruise relaunches the Mummy franchise, with establishe­d writer Alex Kurtzman (“Star Trek: Into Darkness”) directing. It Comes at Night (June 9): A family barricades themselves in a woodsy cabin from a mysterious evil. Joel Edgerton stars.

All Eyez on Me (June 16): Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars in this Tupac Shakur biopic. Rough Night (June 16): Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell and Scarlett Johansson lead a strong cast in a bacheloret­te party comedy.

Girls Trip (July 21): Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and more find love and humor in New Orleans. Written by “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris. Atomic Blonde (July 28): “John Wick” director David Leitch has a new stylish antihero played by Charlize Theron. The Emoji Movie (July 28): What more to be said that isn’t in the title? Patrick Stewart plays the poop emoji in the animated comedy. The Dark Tower (Aug. 4): Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughe­y star in the longawaite­d adaptation of Stephen King’s popular book series. Wind River (Aug. 4): “Hell or High Water” writer Tyler Sheridan directs his first film, an outdoors thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner. The Hitman’s Bodyguard (Aug. 18): Former enemies (Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson) become allies in a buddy comedy that also stars Gary Oldman.

Logan Lucky (Aug. 18): Steven Soderbergh directs this “Ocean’s”-like heist comedy, starring Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig and Adam Driver.
