Heather Lee Hermann, nee Crew, age 55, died peacefully at her home in Tiburon, California on May 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous seventeen-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Heather is survived by her husband Chadd Hermann, daughters Megan and Kendall and mother Robin Crew of San Francisco. Heather was predecease­d by her father Eugene Crew and her brother Christophe­r Crew. Heather, a native of San Francisco, attended Fredrick Burke Elementary, Lick Wilmerding HS, CSU Chico, and is a graduate of Cal Poly State University. Heather grew up a cheerful and giving child. She was a Girl Scout and participat­ed in many school social clubs. She loved sports, was an excellent volleyball player and the first girl to make the boys high school baseball team. She loved skiing, running and especially dancing. Post-college Heather’s took adventurou­s jobs first in the 1994 LA Summer Olympics and then modeling in New York before beginning a career in sales & marketing. Heather was always a dedicated and conscienti­ous worker but made time for her true passion of travel and adventure. Heather married Chadd in 1998 and they were blessed with their two lovely daughters, Megan and Kendall. Heather gave up her career and focused her love and passion on motherhood being ever-present in her girls’ lives providing a sound moral foundation while setting the gold standard in birthday parties and childhood activities. The family lived from 2007 to 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand where Heather thrived in the multicultu­ral internatio­nal community making it a true home for her daughters and husband. She was the ultimate wife and soul-mate to her husband and a loving devoted daughter. Heather lived life to its fullest with infectious joy and an inviting charm that endeared her to so many. She was generous, meticulous, intelligen­t, and a loving friend. Heather was determined to love and shower those around her with her precious personaliz­ed and unforgetta­ble gifts. Heather was a legendary party planner and notorious jokester. She made the most of every event and was the life of the party. She was passionate about her many travel adventures and was enthusiast­ic about everything in life. Heather will be missed dearly. The funeral will be at McAvoy O’Hara Mortuary in San Francisco at 3:00pm on Friday, May 19.
