Barbara Helen Jones passed away peacefully in Roseville, on May 1, 2017. Barbara, a longtime Burlingame resident, was born in San Francisco to Ray and Helen Jones. After graduating from San Francisco Polytechnic High School, “Poly”, Barbara lived in San Bruno for many years, raising her family. When her children were grown, Barbara went to work as an Escrow Officer for First American Title on the SF Peninsula. Her large Irish family was often the lucky recipients of her many lovingly made crocheted items, and she enjoyed attending “Crochet By the Bay” monthly meetings in San Francisco. Barbara was a member of the San Andreas Lake Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also enjoyed playing tennis as a member of multiple Peninsula tennis clubs, annual trips to Lake Tahoe with her tennis friends, and spent many years traveling and following thoroughbred horse racing with her beloved, the late Charlie Galea. Barbara touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents and Charlie, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving sisters, Marie Cesky and Ilene Addison. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen (Tony) Guell and Colleen (Dennis) Nabors, her grandchildren, Brittany (Justin), Alex (Mackenzie), Giovanni, Tanner (Danica), Logan, Reilly, and Sierra Nabors, her great-grandchildren, Tristan and Hayden, her nieces and nephews: Pat (Jennifer) Kennealy, Helen Brosnan, Kerry (Ken) Wesela, Erin (Seamus) Shannon, Joe Addison, Linda (Jim) Jones, Christina (Dan) McArthur, Diana (Dan) Bergeson.

A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1000 El Camino Real, Colma on Tuesday, May 23rd at 10 o’clock a.m. Memorial donations may be made in Barbara’s name to Little Sisters of the Poor.
