David was born May 8, 1956, in Greenville, Mississippi. He was the youngest of 7 children to parents Robert (deceased) and Mary. In his retirement, he became a world traveler, an avid golfer, and enjoyed traveling to Alaska with friends and family on fishing expeditions.

In his last two years, David underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment for a rare lung cancer. Our deepest gratitude is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff at UCSF Mount Zion.
