HOUSTON — Jose Altuve doubled home George Springer in the first inning and four Houston pitchers combined on a one-hitter (see above) as the Astros rebounded from a threegame sweep by Cleveland. Detroit’s Michael Fulmer allowed eight hits and one run with four strikeouts in seven innings as he lost for the first time since April 18. Houston got five hits combined in the second through fifth innings, but wasn’t able to string enough together to put Fulmer in a bind. Marwin Gonzalez led off the Astros’ seventh with a bunt single before Yuli Gurriel singled to right field. Fulmer retired the next three batters.
