Update: Abel Cedillo and John F. Martin have all but clinched the riding and training championsh­ips, respective­ly, for the winter-spring season, which ends Sunday. Cedillo, seeking his first Golden Gate Fields title, has 88 winners from 474 mounts to lead Irving Orozco (74-423), William Antongeorg­i III (70-414), Frank Alvarado (67-365), Juan Hernandez (65-289), Ricardo Gonzalez (58-294), Julien Couton (57-337), Catalino Martinez (57-356), Silvio Amador (51-260) and Kyle Frey (38-204). Martin, seeking his fifth title, has 61 winners from 203 starters to lead Jerry Hollendorf­er (54-288), Blaine Wright (38-165), Tim McCanna (30-151), Bill Delia (29241), Steve Sherman (27-128), Andy Mathis (25-117), Frank Lucarelli (24114), William E. Morey (24-124), Jonathan Wong (20-70) and Ed Moger Jr. (20-155). … Mended, who has led from the start to win five straight races since being claimed by Martin, runs in Saturday’s first race. All of Mended’s wins were on the main track by at least 2¼ lengths, and she pulled away in the stretch of an allowance event May 28 even after 1setting a very fast pace (23.86 seconds, :47.28 and 1:11.17). Saturday’s 1 ⁄16-mile starter allowance is on the grass. Mended’s six opponents include If You Like It, who has four wins and a second since being claimed by trainer Rene Amescua. Two of If You Like It’s victories came on grass. … The summer fair circuit begins next Thursday in Pleasanton.

Elsewhere: Gun Runner makes his first start since a second-place finish to Arrogate in the Dubai World Cup when he runs in the Stephen Foster Handicap. Gun Runner has seven wins in 14 starts and $4,337,800 in earnings and ran third in the 2016 Kentucky Derby. His seven opponents in the 11⁄8-mile race include Bird Song and Honorable Duty, who ran 1-2 in the Grade 2 Alysheba Stakes. … Hollendorf­er-trained Sircat Sally, who has won all six starts, will be a strong favorite to extend her streak in the Honeymoon Stakes. … Hollendorf­er also runs Spooky Woods and It Tiz Well in the Grade 2, $200,000 Summertime Oaks on Saturday at Santa Anita.
