Invest in people over prisons
Regarding “Bigger jail won’t arrest problems that lead to crime” ( June 21): I totally agree with Otis Taylor Jr. We should take any funds allotted for adding to the jails and instead spend them on crime prevention. Let’s invest in people before they get in trouble. Let’s give our at-risk youths opportunities to make something of themselves. Surely this is a better, more humane way to spend money.
