S.F.: Hannah Ryan (Washington)

With the senior pitcher in the middle of it all, Washington (17-2) won its 13th San Francisco Section title, its first since 2010. Ryan finished with a record of 15-2 and a 3.01 ERA. She allowed 75 hits in 93 innings with 95 strikeouts and 10 walks.

Ryan also hit .547 with seven doubles, four triples, three home runs and a teambest 28 RBIs. She was voted the Academic Athletic Associatio­n’s Pitcher of the Year.

She won her final seven starts, including a 3-0 win over Balboa to claim the AAA playoff title, and 4-3 over Oakland Tech to clinch the TransBay title.

Peninsula/South Bay: Cameron Kondo (Carlmont-Belmont)

The senior first baseman and outfielder finished a productive three years with a career-best .494 batting average, with 36 runs, 40 hits, 43 RBIs and nine home runs.

It all led the Scots to another banner season with 26 wins against three losses.

Half of the Cal signee’s hits were for extra bases with nine doubles and two triples to go along with her nine home runs. In 93 plate appearance­s and 81 at-bats, she struck out once.

North Bay: Madison Papenhause­n (San Marin-Novato)

The freshman acted as if she had been there before, leading the Mustangs (23-2) to the North Coast Section D3 title, their ninth crown overall.

Papenhause­n allowed one hit and struck out seven in the championsh­ip game, a 15-0 victory over Sonoma Valley. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs.

She finished 15-2 with a 1.09 ERA. Over 109 innings, she struck out 140. At the plate, she hit .419 with team highs of seven home runs and 26 RBIs.

East Bay: Frankie Hammoude (Bishop O’Dowd-Oakland)

The 5-9 junior catcher and infielder continued to mash the ball this season.

Hammoude hit .508 with 33 hits, six doubles, 11 home runs and 41 RBIs. She had two two-homer games, and had at least one hit in every game but two.

In 146 total chances with 125 putouts, Hammoude made just three errors. Through three seasons and 71 games, Hammoude has a career .479 average with 103 hits and 118 RBIs.

This is her third straight season on the All-Metro team.
