Frances Marie Baumann

Frances Marie Baumann passed away peacefully with her husband Charles, of 56 years by her side.

Frances was born on February 7, 1940 in San Francisco to Guido and Marie Cicchitti. Fran was the oldest of three sisters, Norma (Michael) Schaffer, Ann (Peter) Stanton and sister-in-law Mary (Joseph) Rogers. She was a loving mother of three children, Carolyn, Chuck and Chris, along with six grandchild­ren, Cory, Tyler, Jessica, Claire, Casey and Izabella. Fran had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Fran attended St. Paul’s grammar school in San Francisco and graduated in 1957 from St. Paul’s High School. Fran met her amazing husband Charles in high school and they were married on September 9, 1961. Fran and Charles made their first home in Daly City, California and moved to Pacifica where they resided for the last 45 years. After graduating high school, she worked as a secretary at the Hibernia Bank prior to taking time off for numerous years to be a homemaker for her family. She then returned back to work for Prudential Insurance and then Laguna Salada School District in the Special Ed Department.

In her leisure time, Fran enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques (treasures), traveling, crafting and reading novels. She loved to travel with her husband and she traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Hong Kong, Vietnam and enjoyed many summers at the family cabin in Monte Rio. Fran was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Parish in Pacifica for 45 years, taught religious education, was a member of the choir and St. Vincent’s De Paul Society. She was very active with her children’s activities attending their sporting events with CYO and Little League as well as being a Brownie Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and active member of PTA. Frances was generous to those in need, and her church and family were her life. A special thank you to all of her caregivers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm, followed by the Rosary Vigil at 7:00 on Monday, June 26;

the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27 at 11:00am, all taking place at St Peter Church, 700 Oddstad Blvd. Pacifica. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 1500 Mission Road Colma. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Peter Church in Pacifica or the Alzheimer Associatio­n alz.org
