We’re havin’ a heat wave, but the temperatur­e is mild when it comes to TV offerings today. Bravo airs a new 75minute episode of “Southern Charm” at 9 p.m., followed by a second new episode at 10:15. Season two of “Street Outlaws” revs up at 9 p.m. on the Discovery Channel.

AMC’ s“Preacher,” which just kicked off its second season, moves to its regular 9 p.m. time slot today. Acorn TV streams a golden oldie with Robert Carlyle ,“Hamish Macbeth,” based on the mystery series by M.C. Beaton. Carlyle stars as an unambitiou­s rural cop in the Scottish Highlands with a canine partner named Wee Jock. Series 1 through 3 are available for streaming.

The second episode of the new “Loch Ness ”is also available today, as are episode six of the third season of “Count Arthur

Strong” and episodes seven and eight of the first season of “The Heart

Colton Haynes, hunk alum of “Teen Wolf” and “Arrow,” has landed a spot in the next installmen­t of Ryan Murphy’s “American

Horror Story” anthology series, expected to bow in October with a politicall­y charged story line.

Oh. A reality show, in other words.

The National Geographic Channel will continue its “Genius” anthology series by turning its lens on the life of Pablo

Picasso. The show launched this year with a 10-episode look at the life of Albert Einstein. The second season will premiere sometime next year. No casting news has been released yet.

No one would ever call the Discovery Channel bush league, but that’s the name of a forthcomin­g reality show announced by the channel last week. Discovery has ordered up a new competitio­n series called “Bush League,” on which competitor­s will be called upon to use their bushcraft skills. Utah bush master Matt Graham will host the two on which two bushmaster­s will compete in a “build-off” to create a living structure in the wild. No premiere date has been released yet.

“Veep’s” Anna Chlumsky will join the cast of AMC’s “Halt and Catch

Fire” for its fourth and final season this summer. She will play Dr. Katie Herman, chief ontologist.
