Ethel Marie Lagger

Passed away peacefully June 30, 2017, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Louis Lagger, loving mother of Raymond Lagger MD, Marianne Post (Ronald Post, DDS), Linda Andrews (Brian Andrews, MD); caring grandmothe­r of Lauren Fleming (Matt Fleming) and Christophe­r Andrews; great grandmothe­r of Olivia Fleming.

Ethel was born in San Francisco, February 18, 1920. She attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and High School and graduated with a teaching credential from San Francisco State College.

For over sixty years Ethel was active in a variety of capacities working diligently for Catholic Charities, Little Children’s Aid, and Convent of the Good Shepherd. She embraced the Sisters of Mercy and their mission to serve those in need. Ethel will be remembered for her devotion, generosity and the love she extended to all who knew her.

We would like to thank our mother’s caregivers, Mary, Fred and Tuki Sitoa for the tender care they provided. You gave her the opportunit­y to live her life without pain and leave this world peacefully.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1200 Florida St. in San Francisco. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
