There will be a lot of fresh faces in Seattle for the WNBA All-Star Game this weekend, including reigning Rookie of the Year Breanna Stewart.

The Storm’s leading scorer was one of six reserves announced Tuesday night who will be playing in their first All-Star Game.

Cal alum Layshia Clarendon will also be one of them, making her first All-Star appearance in her fifth season in the league and second in Atlanta.

Stanford’s Nneka Ogwumike will be making her fourth All-Star appearance, and her Los Angeles teammate, Chelsea Gray, is making her first.

The East has three starters and four reserves competing in their first All-Star Game. Only three players on the team have been selected more than twice.

“It’s great to see so many new faces, and we’ll have a good time out there,” said New York’s Tina Charles, making her fifth appearance.

The West squad features 10-time All-Star Sue Bird, in her 14th season, and Diana Taurasi and Seimone Augustus, making their eight and seventh squads, respectively.

Atlanta and Connecticut each have three All-Stars.

Phoenix’s Brittney Griner, the league’s leading scorer, won’t play after injuring her ankle and knee last week. Washington’s Elena Delle Donne is also out with injury.

Sky 94, Storm 83: Allie Quigley scored 25 points and hit a career-high six three-pointers to help Chicago beat host Seattle. Stewart had 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Storm (9-11), but Chicago (7-13) outscored Seattle’s reserves 42-8. Crystal Langhorne entered needing to hit on five straight field-goal tries to tie Nneka Ogwumike’s WNBA record of 23. Langhorne made her first three before missing an open jumper.

Dream 88, Stars 75: Tiffany Hayes scored 25 points to lead host Atlanta (9-10) over San Antonio (2-18). Brittney Sykes had 20 points; she has scored in double figures in nine straight games.
