Miguela Tingzon, 75, passed away peacefully on ,ednesday, August 2, 2017. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Manuel Dizon Tingzon, and son, Manuel Reno Tingzon, as well as her parents, Patric M. Reyes and Nicolasa P. Reyes, and brother, Pedro P. Reyes of South San Francisco.

Miguela was born on May 8, 1942 in Munoz Nueva Ecija, Philippine­s. She arrived in America in 1968, married, had two children, and worked and retired from Pacific Bell after more than 30 years of service. San Francisco was Miguela’s home for the last 49 years.

Miguela is survived by her devoted daughter Monina G. Tingzon, sister Ida Yagi (Dennis), half-sisters Felipa R. Domingo and Julita R. Canu (David), and sisters-inlaw Evelyn A. Reyes (Pedro) and Maura E. Tingzon (Honorio), numerous nephews and nieces, granddogs Hunter, Casey, and Cinco, and her movie and shopping partner Sophia, who lovingly called her “Mama.”

Miguela loved life and everything it had to offer. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, casino trips, traveling, and reading. Although not a typical sports fan, she did follow the Giants, Niners, and ,arriors, often yelling helpful coaching tips to the players on the screen. She arrived in heaven to celebrate her son Reno’s birthday with him, and we know they, along with Manuel and other family members, are celebratin­g a reunion with prime rib, garlic prawns, and everything purple.

Visitation begins on Monday, August 7, 2017, 3-9pm, with a Rosary on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 6:30pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 ,estlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna St., San Francisco at 11:00am, ,ednesday, August 9, with interment at Cypress Lawn Hillside, Colma.
