Jolley Fullerton White

Jolley Fullerton White of Belvedere, California, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on July 24 at Marin General Hospital in Marin County, California.

Jolley was born in Minneapoli­s, MN. She attended Westover School in Middlebury, CT and then Bennington College in Bennington, VT. She was a devoted mother, grandmothe­r and great grandmothe­r; she enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Her French restaurant, Chouette, and gift shop, C’est si Bon, in Wayzata, MN, received numerous awards and brought her great joy until she retired. When Jolley moved to California, she studied to become an interior designer and took great pleasure in working with her clients. She was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, Minneapoli­s Club, and Woodhill CC. Jolley will be remembered as a kind, generous and good-hearted woman who touched many people’s lives and was beloved by all.

Preceded in death by parents James G. Fullerton & Elizabeth L. Fullerton, brother Jim Fullerton, granddaugh­ter Jennifer L. Fuchs, husband Thomas S. Hartzell; stepson Thomas S. Hartzell Jr., and stepson Scott C. Hartzell. Jolley is survived by her beloved dog Sophie, daughter Margaret (Muffey) S. Fuchs, daughter Jolley (Holley) S. Frank, son John C. Skoglund (Shannon), stepson, Robert C. Hartzell (Susan), and grandchild­ren: Christophe­r J. Fuchs (Adriane), Jonathan T. Fuchs (Charlene), Lara L. Kliesen (Brent), Hunter W. Fuchs (Denise), Beau S. Fuchs (Kara), Merin A. Guthrie (Will), Taylor L. Frank (Katherine), Carter S. Frank, Alexandra S. Nally (Austin), Sabrina R. Skoglund, Sara M. Skoglund, Skyler E. Skoglund & Shae T. Skoglund; as well as Madeline Hartzell & Bobby Hartzell. Jolley also is survived by 11 great grandchild­ren and all of her friends in both California and Minnesota.

The family thanks the great care given to her by Marin Hospital, Martha De Los Santos, Ramon Cueto Sanchez and Maria Cueto Correa. There will be a celebratio­n of life at Woodhill Country Club in Wayzata, MN, on August 25th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and at the San Francisco Yacht Club in Belvedere, CA, on August 27th from 2:00 PM to 5:00PM.
