Calvin Gregory Feder

-

Calvin Gregory Feder died suddenly from complications of a pituitary tumor on August 11, 2017. Born on October 7, 1986 in Sacramento, he graduated from Bella Vista High School in 2004. Calvin earned a BS in Computer Science from The University of Puget Sound in 2008. Since 2014 Calvin worked at Argyle Data in San Mateo as the Lead Engineer for Quality Assurance. He was well respected in his profession and enjoyed his work. His humility regarding his intelligence was one of his best features; he was a computer nerd.

Calvin is survived by his life partner, Annamaria Ortenzo, of San Francisco; his mother, Noella Feder, and her husband, Michael Olmscheid; his father, David Feder, and David’s wife, Elizabeth Luttrell; his grandmother, Jaqueline Shanafelt, and her husband, Peter Ridgeway, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calvin loved spending time with his friends and family, backyard barbecues and skiing. Calvin had a wonderful spirit and was a gentle soul. He was generous with his love and time, and could light up a room with his smile. Calvin continued his generosity through his gift of organ donation. His liver and kidneys saved three lives the day his ended.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Calvin Gregory Feder Memorial Scholarship in Computer Science to: University Foundation at Sacramento State, c/o Lisa Woodard-Mink, 6000 J Street MS 6030, Sacramento, CA 95819.
