The Bay Area is gearing up for a series of political events this weekend that have law enforcement authorities on edge, including far-right rallies in San Francisco and Berkeley and a number of counterdemonstrations.

Interfaith gathering: An interfaith gathering in response to the Patriot Prayer rally in San Francisco on Saturday and the No Marxism in Berkeley rally on Sunday. The gathering takes place from noon to 2 p.m. at Grace Cathedral, 1100 California St. in San Francisco.
