John “Jack” Anthony Twomey

Jack passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.

He was born January 30, 1937 in San Francisco to Nellie and William Twomey (both deceased), who emigrated from the Ballyvourn­ey area of West Cork, Ireland. He was raised in the upper Noe Valley with his brothers the late Timothy and William (and the late Gay), Daniel (and Rose), and Patrick, and his sisters the late Eileen (and the late Brendan), and the late Maryann (and Chuck), and his sister Marge (and the late John Mullen).

He attended USF, and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He then went on to a long career working as an engineer in Sunnyvale at the Lockheed Missiles and Space Company.

Husband to the late Judith Anderson, and former wife Patricia Holmes.

Father to daughter Maureen and sons Kevin and Michael (and Joan).

Uncle Jack to the late Nancie Mullen, the late Jennifer Twomey, John , Pattie and Matt, Joanne and Bill, Marianne and Tim, Diane and Dennis, Ellie, Barbie (and the late Mark), Danny and Debbie, Linda and Blake, Willie and Deborah, Terri and Steve, Elizabeth, Bobby and Cynthia, Kathy, Timmy and Valerie.

He enjoyed socializin­g with friends and family. Loved cooking and dining out, reading, and most of all, loved laughter.

He will be missed deeply by his friends and family.

Friends are invited to a memorial on September 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 4:00pm at the United Irish Cultural Center 2700 45th Ave. ( at Sloat Blvd.) San Francisco, Ca. 94116 (415) 661-2700
