SUNDAY, SEPT. 3

ABC will preview its new offerings for the fall season with a special at 7 p.m.

Texas A&M faces UCLA in their college football opener at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena at 4:30 p.m. on Fox. Showtime airs the two-episode, two-hour series finale of its “Twin Peaks” reboot at 8 p.m. Season four of Starz’s aptly named “Power” wraps at 9 p.m. The fifth season of “Deadline: Crime With Tamron Hall” premieres on the ID channel at 10 p.m.

MONDAY, SEPT. 4

A&E has the best bet for tonight’s viewing, the documentar­y “Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.,” directed by Mark Ford and airing 20 years after the death of the influentia­l rapper. The film is the first biography to be authorized by the late Christophe­r Wallace’s estate and includes interviews with his widow, Faith Evans; his mother, Voletta Wallace; his friend Lil Cease; and members of the Junior Mafia, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jay Z and Nas. The three-hour film airs at 8 p.m. TCM will pay tribute to the late King of Comedy, Jerry Lewis, who died Aug. 20 at 91. The channel will air a mini-Lewis festival of films, beginning with “The Nutty Professor” at 8 p.m., “The King of Comedy” at 10 p.m., “The Stooge” at midnight, “The Bellboy” at 2 a.m. and “The Disorderly Orderly” at 3:30 a.m. On CNN ,“The Reagan Show,” premiering at 5 p.m., will look back at the Reagan presidency using largely unseen footage. The show will encore at 9:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9. The first season of TNT’s lusty, colorful “Will” wraps at 11 p.m. The History Channel airs the first part of its documentar­y “The Road to 9/11” at 8 p.m. The first season of AMC’s British comedy import “Loaded,” about overnight millionair­es in the tech world, wraps at 10 p.m. Acorn.TV offers the Channel 4 reality series “Edwardian Country House,” broadcast in the U.S. as “Manor House.” The reality show takes place in a Scottish manor house, where one family portrayed the owners while another 12 people took on various service positions for a three-month period. The series took them all back to the period from 1905 to 1914. The six-episode series originally aired in 2002. Also on Acorn.TV, the season finale, episodes five and six, of “The Good Karma Hospital.” Go to www.acorn.tv.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 5

The catch of the day is the fifth season premiere of “American Horror Story: Cult” on FX at 10 p.m. with an episode titled “Election Night.” Among the cast members this

year: Colton Haynes, Chaz Bono, Lena Dunham, Billy Eichner, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Cheyenne Jackson and Mare Winningham, among others. Episode seven of the current season of “Difficult People” is available on Hulu today. “The Fosters” airs its seasonal summer finale on Freeform at 8 p.m., followed by the first season finale of “The Bold Type ”at9 p.m. Season five of “Below Deck” sets sail on Bravo at 9 p.m. The History Channel airs part two of its documentar­y “The Road to 9/11,” with a two-hour episode at 9 p.m. Season three of “A Season With Navy Football” kicks off, literally, at 10 p.m. on Showtime.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 6

The catch of the day is the fourth season premiere of the delicious comedy “You’re the Worst,” airing two episodes at 10 p.m. on FXX. Last season ended with a cliffhange­r as Jimmy proposed to Gretchen and then disappeare­d. The first of tonight’s episodes tells us what’s up with Jimmy (Chris Geere), while the second catches up with Gretchen (Aya Cash). But what’s next for them? The third and final part of “The Road to 9/11” airs on the History Channel at 9 p.m. “Total Bellas” returns for season 2 at 9 p.m. on E. “Snowfall” wraps its first season at 10 p.m. on FX. It’s been renewed for a second season by the network.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 7

A new episode of “Battle of the Network Stars” airs at a special time of 8 p.m. on ABC, followed by the first season finale at 9. The first season of the rebooted “Gong Show” wraps at 10 p.m. on ABC. Isla Fisher, Courteney Cox and Will Arnett are the guest judges tonight.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 8

“Bojack Horseman” rides back into Netflix town with its complete fourth season. Also from Netflix today: The complete second season of the terrific Tig Notaro comedy, “One Mississipp­i,” and a four-episode documentar­y called “Fire Chasers,” documentin­g the devastatio­n of wildfires in California. All four broadcast networks — ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox — will air “EIF Presents: XQ Super School Live” at 8 p.m. This is a live show, as the title would indicate, about rethinking our concept of high school in the United States. The show will include students, experts and some very big names in entertainm­ent coming together to improve education in the U.S. Reelz premieres “Broke and Famous” at 9 p.m., about celebritie­s who were riding high at one point but forgot to put pennies into the piggybank and are now broke. It will be followed by the premiere of the series “US Weekly’s Famous Feuds” at 10 p.m. The History Channel airs the two-hour special “The Dark Files ”at10 p.m., looking at “The Montauk Files,” a documentar­y by Christophe­r P. Garetano probing the Camp Hero legends about kidnapping­s of runaway boys, and suggestion­s of alien influence and the conducting of inhuman experiment­s.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 9

Season four of “Copycat Killers” premieres on Reelz at 9 p.m. The Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures” looks at Natalie Wood relics and Dr. Kevorkian’s death van at 9 p.m.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 10

Catch of the day is “The Deuce,” a new eight-episode series from David Simon, creator of“The Wire,” looking at the rise and legalizati­on of the porn industry from the 1970s on. The series kicks off with a 90-minute episode at 9 p.m. on HBO.

The bonus catch of the day is the premiere of “Top of the Lake: China Girl,” the second season of Jane Campion’s masterful drama, with Elisabeth Moss returning to head a cast including Nicole Kidman. The three-night drama premieres at 9 p.m. on SundanceTV.

Seth MacFarlane’s latest creation, the space dramedy “The Orville,” premieres at a special night and time of 8 p.m. on Fox.

The third season of Starz’s time-traveling bodice-ripper “Outlander” premieres at 8 p.m.

There she goes, Miss America, as ABC hosts the “2018 Miss America Competitio­n” at 9 p.m. The show will be co-hosted by Chris Harrison and Sage Steele. The celebrity judges include Maria Menounos, former Miss America Nina Davuluri, Thomas Rhett, Molly Sims, Jordin Sparks and People editor Jess Cable. New episodes of “Fear the Walking Dead” resume at 9 p.m. on AMC.
