Gayle Irene Mangini

Gayle Irene Mangini; beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmothe­r passed away peacefully on August 29th. She was born in San Francisco and moved to South San Francisco at the age of twelve with her family. She married William (Bill) Mangini and together they settled in South San Francisco and raised a family. They were married 50 years. She worked for her father at Golden Gate Roofing for many years. Gayle intensely devoted herself to her family and was passionate about being a mother. She lived for her family and friends. She loved to make everyone happy through her cooking of big family dinners. She also shared her wonderful cooking with the community; cooking the annual Cinco de Mayo ICF dinners. Over the pass 20 years, she loved spending time at the family cabin in Georgetown; working on home improvemen­t projects or just relaxing at the property.

Truly compassion­ate, Gayle was selfless with her love and kindness. Whether caring for her family and friends or volunteeri­ng her time to those in need. She will be greatly missed and her generous and loving spirit will live in all of us.

She is survived by her husband Bill, eldest son John, daughter Marla, youngest son, Joey, daughter in law, Michelle, son in law, Paul and her five grandchild­ren, Matthew, Maya, Vincent, Dominic and John! Her mother, Esther and siblings Greg, Jerry and Tana. She was preceded in passing by her brother Tom.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebratio­n of Life on Thursday, September 7th at 11:00 am at the Garden Chapel in South San Francisco.
